Day 1,018: Trump had a really rough weekend

Donald Trump is spiraling, both externally and internally. This weekend could easily be Exhibit A of that prosecution.

He got mercilessly booed at a UFC event in New York City.

His approval numbers are plummeting, even in conservative-leaning polls.

He touted Virginia’s employment and economic figures, claiming that if Democrats were elected, those number would plummet. But he ignored the fact that their Governor and Lieutenant Governor are both Democrats.

He blamed California for a largely federal issue, therefore he was accidentally critical of himself.

He didn’t shoot down the possibility of shutting government if the House continues their impeachment inquiry, revealing true desperation and nervousness.

His aides are no longer denying quid pro quo existed in the Ukraine scandal.

And he tried to both admit and deny quid pro quo in a single tweet while referring to himself in the third person.

Things are getting worse by the week. As Trump and his team struggle to spin every negative story, there is simultaneously a dearth of positive ones to tout.
